Eggnog Cookies

In a previous post I talked about the boys and I making cookies for Christmas and letting them chose recipes. Well, here is one that Brett chose and now has been made every since, eggnog cookies. Brett and I will be making a batch of these yummy cookies later on today.

Makes 3 dozen hope you like eggnog, we do.

2 1/4 Cups flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp cinnamon and nutmeg

1 1/4 Cups sugar

3/4 Cups softened butter

1/2 Cup eggnog

1 tsp vanilla

2 large egg yolks

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Combine all the dry ingredients in a separate bowl cream together the sugar and butter until it resembles a grainy paste. Add eggnog, vanilla and egg yolks, beat at medium speed until smooth. Add the dry ingredients and beat at low speed until blended, be sure not to over mix. Drop by tsp onto ungreaed baking sheet 1 inch apart. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg and bake for 23-25 minutes or until bottoms turn light brown.

We are always looking to try something new, have a holiday favorite? We would love to hear about it.
